Terms and Conditions

Payment Methods:
All items on this site can be purchased and paid for with a variety of Credit/Debit Cards through
PayPal on their secure servers.
All information related to your payment or credit card details is handled by PayPal directly
and is not collected by us, with exception to the payment amount, currency and transaction id.
Customers in the UK who pay in British Pounds are also offered to pay by cheque made payable to
"Bechmann Limited". There is no difference in the price charged and the order
will only be processed upon receipt of the cheque.
Order Processing and Product Availability:
All orders are processed as soon as practicable. Mostly this means within two working days after the
order is received, but on occasions we may delay delivery if items ordered are out of stock
and due in within a few days.
The availability of certain products also varies from time to time and therefore we reserve the right to
replace any product advertised with another similar product. If we cannot match the exact weight
or quantity, we will always make sure that you, the customer, will not loose out. This at no extra
cost to you.
Quality Statement:
We will always try to ensure that all items are of the best quality we can find and that they are
dispatched well within their sell-by date.
For obvious reasons we are unable to open all items to check (and taste) their
quality prior to packing them. Therefore it is impossible for us guarantee that they are always
in perfect condition.
For this reason, and due to fluctuations in delivery times, we are unable to accept
responsibility for the quality on arrival, and any damaged or out of date goods will
not be replaced (unless of course we made a mistake and they were alreay out of date when dispatched).
This also applies to goods that have been damaged inside their original packaging. We try our best
to pack the goods securely for the long journey, but parcels are often badly mistreated by the various
postal services.
All goods are stored under normal supermarket conditions, which comply with relevant Danish regulations.
Certain products have a relatively short shelf life. Warning is given about this on the relevant
product info page. Where an order contains such products, we may delay the whole order until
fresh stock has arriven, thus ensuring that it will reach you in the best possible condition.
We can not supply any dairy or meat products that need to be kept cool at all times.
Return of Goods:
If for some reason you are not happy with the product delivered you are welcome to return it to
us and we will refund the cost of the product. Bearing in mind the disclaimers under the "Quality Statement"
section, any returned goods must be un-opened, intact and not out of date when reaching us.
The delivery is charged at cost and we cannot therefore make any refunds on delivery charges.
VAT and other Import Duties:
All goods are shipped via the Danish Postal Service and import duties and other
taxes may be levied by customs in the destination country. You the customer must
accept full liability for all such charges.
All goods shipped within the EU are inclusive of VAT.
Please note that from time to time certain countries empose restrictions
on which food products can be imported legally. Keeping track of such
restrictions worldwide would be a massive task for us, so you must make
sure that any products you order can be imported legally.
IMPORTANT NOTICE on Shipping to the United States:
Due to the high levels of security in the US there is an increased risk that our parcels
will be opened by the US Customs. In reality the vast majority of parcels arrive within a few days with
no problems at all, but in some cases we have experienced that they arrive with some
of the contents opened, damaged or missing completely. In other cases the parcels never turn up at all.
For this reason we decided a while ago to stop taking orders for the US. Though, due to numerous requests for this
policy to change, we have indeed done so with the clause that, all orders to the US are made entirely
at the customers own risk.
Privacy Statement:
In order to send you the purchased goods we need to record your name and address. This
information is not used for any other purpose and is not passed on to any third
parties. Also we need to record your e-mail address in order to communicate with you
if there should be any delivery problems and to send you the order confirmation
(both from ourselves and from the payment server).
We may on rare occasions e-mail you with promotional offers or to advertise new
features to the site.
